WHy Tree Star?

Tree Star is more than a name; it is a symbol, a memory, and a mission. Tree Star holds the heart of my work: offering compassionate support and grounded clarity through life’s most significant changes—what I call thresholds.

A threshold is a crossing point: birth, postpartum, death, identity shifts, spiritual transformation, grief, creative emergence, new beginnings, and any seasons of profound change. A threshold asks us to let go of what was and step into who we are becoming.

Trees root us in the present. They carry memory in their rings, mark change through their seasons, and teach us how to stay grounded.

Stars stretch beyond our gaze. They offer pattern, perspective, and the reminder that life and death is a sacred, ongoing cycle.

In a past season, I managed a nonprofit operations team. I once told my staff that while some miss the forest for the trees, I often miss the trees for the forest and stars. My big-picture vision sometimes made it hard to see the one tree that needed tending. Becoming a doula changed that for me. 

Being a doula is my tree—an invitation to return to presence and to offer embodied, personalized care through the very real thresholds we all face.

Together, Tree Star speaks to the dual nature of my practice. Both symbols reflect threshold work: tree grounds us in the tangible realities within life and death, while star points to what lies just beyond our reach.  

As a doula, I offer grounded, compassionate support for birth, postpartum, and death. As an astrologer for thresholds, I look to the stars as a mirror revealing new meaning and a way forward through seasons of challenge or change.

In both roles, I serve as a witness and companion, not to guide from above, but to walk with you, bringing clarity, compassion, and respect for your own inner knowing.
